There are many things to see on Raymond Island, most famously being the Raymond Island Koala Trail. Not only are you guaranteed to see many of our cuddly locals, but you might even see some Kangaroos and Lorikeets, maybe even some Echidnas if you’re extra lucky!
Buchan Caves Tours
Buchan Caves don’t just offer the best caving experience in the area, they also are home to an icy cold spring-fed pool, amazing picnic spots – complete with walking tracks, plus Cafes and Pubs suitable for the whole family!(75-minute drive from Paynesville.)
Eagle Point Walking Track
~Photo’s Coming~ Starting at the end of Burden Place (near the Petrol Station in Paynesville) The Eagle Point Walking Track follows the shore of Lake King for 1.5km into Eagle Point and beyond. This is a perfect walk for the kids and can be accessed on bikes.
Eagle Point Silt Jetties
Since Hurricane Katrina took out the Mississippi Silt Jetties, our silt Jetties are now the longest in the world! Drive or cycle the 7.5km track and maybe enjoy a spot of fishing along the way.
